my brother John Tail was one of the escort warriors in ''Dances" he was the one who waved from up on the hill. There were a lot of things wrong with that film though. Like the Lakota being scared of the Pawnee for one. And Graham Greene sporting a Crow hairdo haha!!

hey all gee I haven't been on here in awhile so much new stuff on the boards! Ladonna is correct. Basically you are made a relative to the family, but the hunka ceremony can be between two people making each other brothers, but you are ''adopted" into the whole family. It is a very serious thing and not to be taken lightly. I just used the word ''hunka-d" as like a past tense it is not really a word in english or lakota. Sorry bout that! There were more Sicangus at LBH than people think, at least from what I hear living on Rosebud for the last year. There are so many relatives between Oglala and Sicangu that it makes perfect sense that Crazy Horse was back and forth. Back in the beginning of summer I was talking to an elder who works at a school here, he is related to Crazy Horse's second wife. He told me Crazy Horse ''stole her" and wanted her contrary to historical opinion. When he was killed and they were taking his body they had to stop up past Black Pipe/Norris where her father lived (this mans grandpa) to ask if he wanted to come with them to bury the body. He told them no as he was angry at Crazy Horse. He said they headed towards the Badlands. Just a new twist to the story! Kingsley I can hook you up with some people here, but you already know Victor so I'm sure you are set. The Little Thunder's still have meetings about family stuff, and I work very closely with Bernadine Broken Leg who is related to Iron Shell, Spotted Tails, Little Thunders and she is a wealth of information.

if she is going to pine ridge she can stay at rosie's place-Singing Horse Trading Post in Manderson. She has tipis and horses, beautiful landscape, close to Wounded Knee. She is welcome to sweat at Grandpa's, he welcomes anyone who wants to pray into his sweats. He is in the hills in Porcupine. Many sweats around there too. Rosie can give her good info.

hau everybody! I posted some very rare pete catches video awhile back not sure if the link is still up. it was quite lengthy. Dietmar I think you saw it but if anyone else wants to I can repost it now. I dont think I have to be as private about it now as I was then. The Chipps family are having a bad time. They had some very important bundles, including Crazy Horse's only possessions and an ''unnamed" person sold them back when Unci passed on. They are in the East, well South East I guess you would say. Not good. I know where and who they are with and we need to get them back here. They are unhappy and this is why bad things are happening to certain people. According to most full blood, traditional elders around here, after Pete and Frank Fools Crow passed, there are no true Sundances left. None of them are done properly anymore.
