Blind Tom is a different person completely. Do you know of any other pictures that Chiricahua Tom is identified. I dont have any more information on him than you do other than at one time he was married to Naithlotonz, a half sister of Naiche.

A Chiricahua named Be-da-zis-shu / Be-da-te-sha (Yellow Coyote), called Tom Chiricahua by white Americans, remains one of the most obscure figures in 1880s Chiricahua history. He has at times been confused with the prominent scout, Dutchy, whose Chiricahua name was My-klitz-so, or the Fox. Tom died on Aug. 17, 1928 and was buried at the Mescalero Cemetery, New Mexico. Dutchy was killed in a tragic incident in 1893. Does anyone have additional information on either one? All I know is that Tom enlisted as a scout in 85/86 during the Geronimo Campaign. Dutchy served in the Army from 1880 to 89 and was another mysterious person. While Britton Davis spoke highly of him, others blamed some very bad things of him - there wasn't any evidence for most of them, though. Here are some images of both men: I never made that match in identifications, good work!

At this time, there were only 3 descendants of Victorio living.

Here is a three photographs of Apache prisoners from Victorio’s band after Tres Castillos battle. Pay attention to the scalp tied to poles in the background. They saw our friend Josephina from the Italian site farwest.it Cit. from Dan L. Thrapp: Victorio and the Mimbres Apaches, pp. 310-11. Reported by a Chicago Times correspondent: The whole city turned out – all classes and conditions… The bands played, and from the church and cathedral towers the bells rang out in tuneful clamor… [Beyond the city] we could discover some black objects against the sky like waving plumes of the knights of old… these waving plumes are ghastly scalps of the fallen enemy, held aloft to the grazing crowd, who yell and cry. They are on poles about ten feet long, carried by victors four abreast. We count them, 78 in number, sixteen of which are women and children. I had of course expected to see some scalps, but here I saw a long black line of terrible looking objects worse by far than I had supposed. The whole head of hair had been in most cases taken. This campaign will cost the state not less than $50,000 cash outlay [for scalps]. Another photo and one more zooming woman with gray hair Whats your source on this? Something doesnt seem right.

I always hate when they dressed Geronimo up in other tribes regalia to make him look more "Indian."

Also, I think Lozen went in with the reservation group despite what you read. Eyelash probably went in with Chihuahua or the reservation group. Lets see if we can find a picture of Goso. There has to be a Carlisle picture of him.

My list exactly, but what about Tsisnah, Lot Eyelash (also said to be one of "Geronimo's warriors") and Lozen? Also, we can assume with reasonable certainty that not alle Chiricahua came in with Naiche and Geronimo (for instance Gatewood says that, in August 1886, he met with 24 men in the Sierra Madre while only the men mentioned above by Kayitah were deported to Fort Pickens. In addition, not all Nednai came north and several families remained in Mexico long after all Chiricahua people were brought to Florida. Perhaps some of the people photographed by Fly in March did not surrender with either Naiche and Geronimo, nor with Chihuahua... My guess is that Kilthdigai is actually Tsisnah. As you probably know, names changed. That might have been what happened. Somehow things got crossed. It makes sense. The train photo mentions that one man was not photographed, Im guessing it was Tsisnah. Lets please avoid using the term warriors. They are men.

Brother of Binday. Lot’s father was White Mountain or San Carlos and his mother was Chokonen (Chiricahua). Lot Eyelash, Jason Betzinez, and Jasper Kanseah were all with Geronimo as horse holders and apprentices to the warriors when he was on the warpath in 1882-83. He was about 16 in 1886.
Eyelash is also confused with Tsisnah and Fun and Perico. For some reason Eyelash gets thrown in there sometimes.

Front row left is definately Biyaneta. 3rd from left is Dorothy Naiche, forth from left not sure if that is Haozinne or Eclahheh. Tall man in center is still being debated. Man with medicine hat on is Hustinney, boy on far right is identified wrong, that is Garditha. Man in very back row on left on horse is Hunlona. Man holding baby is Zhonne. The others I am unsure of. Thank you very much, Perico. I agree with you - but how did you identify Hustianney? I know I also came up with that name, but are you sure the man with the medicine cap is not Laziyah, as often stated? (I agree, though, that he doesn't really look like Laziyah on the train photo) You are right, that is Laziyah. I wasnt paying attention.

You probably have this one already, but let's post all that we can come up with, perhaps we find some new ones: Isabelle Perico Enjady: That is incorrect, that is Irene Gooday.
