In this well known photograph, I have never seen but a few Identified. I will attempt to ID all of them to the best of my knowledge. Remember, I might not be completely correct on all of them, so if anyone has a different opinion or idea, I'm open to suggestions. Note: I believe the photo to have been taken around early 1929. Back: Mason Kawaykla, James Nicholas, "possibly" = Harold Kawaykla, Lawrence Mithlo, John Loco, Jason Betzines, Lot Eyelash, and Quinton Eyelash. Middle: James Kawaykla, Dorothy (Naiche) Kawaykla, Nah-thlet-la, "possibly"= Marion (Juan) Loco, Bessie (Hunlona) Gooday, Talbot Gooday. Front: "All possibly" Minnie (Nicholas) Zurega, Mary Zurega (Cripps), Evangeline Zurega (Chappabitty), and Benjamin Zurega Jr Back row: Davis Mithlo, David Chinney?, Mason Kawaykla, Jadon Betzinez, Robert Gooday, Johnny Loco, Sam Haozous, Arthur Guydelkon. Front row: James Kawaykla, Dorothy Naiche, Lottie Pahkoy (Masons Wife, and holding Constance I think), Nathletha, Blossom Haozous holding Ruey, Dolly Mithlo holding Thurman, and Lawrence Mithlo.

It was an impression, it's not that I'm sure. If I remember correctly, there's an image of him in one of Toby Giese's Apache photo books. He was a Western Apache and an army scout when they attacked Adilnadzid's small group in the Sierra Madre. Do you think all the people on the image are Chiricahuas? Yes, I do. Or Chiricahua and few Mescalero, but not Westerners. That is correct. They are mostly Chiricahua and some Mescalero.

I think that the man standing in center (wearing uniform) is Daklugie, and my guess for the men standing far right: Toklanny and Martine... The man wearing the uniform is (Benedict) Jozhe. Full brother of Fun, Tsisnah, and Jahkinishishn. Half brother of Perico. He was the youngest of the siblings. The woman in the front row on the left is Dorothy (Naiche) Kawaykla, daughter of Naiche, wife of James Kawaykla. The woman on the right in the front row (cut off, far right) is Dolly (Perico) Mithlo, daughter of Perico, wife of Lawrence Mithlo. This picture was taken at Fort Sill, Oklahoma around 1910 - 1912.

Didn't Fatty go to exile in florida with the other Chiricahuas? At least did Gordo die years before, I think he was killed but will look for the text passage... Yes (David) Fatty was in Florida.

He was named Perico by Mexicans he used to play with as a child. I have seen his apache name written once. It means white horse.

Nas-ti-deh died at San Carlos before 1885. Gordo is someone different. Some people say Gordo and Fatty were the same person. Others say Gordo was the father of Fatty. Perico is a spanish word meaning parrot. The onlyl other info I have on Nas-ti-deh is that he was Bedonko.

Where did you find this information? This is incorrect:
Apache name? (33)/Perico, son of Gordo and second cousin of Geronimo
His father was not Gordo. His father is Nas-ti-dah. He had a different mother than Fun, Tsisnah, Jozhe (Tzo-tzen), and Jah-ken-ish-ishen.= (Black Girl).
