I have applied the numbers from the men's image to the group image and by doing that I think I found the man (No. 15) who was missing. He's not easy to spot because he doesn't war a headband. Those with the blue numbers are the ones that do not appear in the second photograph where there are only men and the boy Pel-coy posing. Too bad the Fort Marion pictures are in such awful quality The person you selected is actually a female. She is draped in a blanket on her lower half, which was standard protocol for an apache lady most of the time. Compare to some of the other ladies that are draped.

Well, thanks penjady and mithlo. So we're still looking for the final man in the group to appear somewhere.
Does anyone know with which group Chechil came in? Chato's?

I think that number 7 is probably Lancey (Len-see). I agree. May I ask where the third image is from (2nd from the right)?

Just a change between José Second and Nezulkide. i am wondering who could be the old woman in the photo with She-Ga? the two were arrested by Mescaleros on june or july 1885. And if anybody have any info about new photo or new names to put on the 144 Challenge, it will be good. Attachments:

Great work!
Notes: According to my information, Seeltoe, Eskinya, Shoie were Warm Springs Apache. And they surrendered with Nana. Colle was (IMHO!) in Naiche's group, because he was Taza's friend (?).

Colle/Cathlay was Chokonen and so was likely with Naiche. I am not sure he and Taza where friends, but he, or his father by the same name, was one of Cochise's headmen... and he did go Taza and Naiche to San Carlos in 1876. He also joined Naiche in the flight to Mexico to Mexico in 1881. On the other hand, he was in the Ulzana raid of 1885 (at least he was a chosen member but was wounded early on) and he joined Chihuahua and Ulzana to Florida rather than go with Naiche...

Could this be Kilth-di-gai, behind Naiche? Might also be Fun, very hard to tell... Attachments:
