Thanks to Dietmar and Ephriam. I think that the mysterious man is only present in the first photo. So, it's impossible making comparison with others images. May be a Brulè, because in the standig row, except Sword, are all Brulè chiefs (it's only my suggestion...). I hope that others experts post them opinions.

Dietmar: the image is taken from the book "Sitting Bull: the champion of the Sioux" of Stanley Vestal. Unfortunately, there are no images of him in his youth...I like too much this chief: he was a great and brave warrior, always in first row in the battle!

Indeed the man seated in the centre is Big Road (Canku Tanka) of the Oglala (Oyuhpe band)? I never seen before this image of him.

Still about MEDICINE WATER (Southern Cheyenne): he belonged to war society of Bowstring. His father was Medicine Water I and his mother Old Yellow Hair. He was 1/2 brother to Man on Cloud (by father). In 5 March 1875 he surrended with his family. Born in 1835 in Wyoming, he died on "Standing Bird" allotment, 5 miles northeast of Clinton (Oklahoma) in 18 June 1924.

I know that PAWNEE KILLER (Palani Wicakte) was a blotahunka in the Little Wound's band, the KIYUKSA. At page 3 of thread "Brulè at LBH" (LBHA site) Kingsleybray wrote:.....Pawnee Killer - Spleen band (Tapishsleca). Which was the real band of birth of him? The SPLEEN was a sub-band of the KIYUKSA?

For to complete Black Coal's bio: born in 1840 in the "Forks of the River" band (in the past called "Antelope" band) of Northern Arapaho. Indian's name: NIA-WA-SIS (Black Coal). He also was called TAG-GE-THA-THE (Fingers cut-off). Died in 10 July 1893. I ask to the experts if exsist images of the famous Arapaho chiefs MEDICINE MAN - BLACK BEAR - SORREL HORSE? I never seen photos of them!

Ice/White Bull (Cheyenne) was born in 1834. In 1880 he was 46 yars old. The man in the first photo is max 30 years old. Are you agree?

ICE aka WHITE BULL, the famous Cheyenne chief? Dietmar. are you sure? In my book it is labelled White Bull, the Minneconjou that killed Tom Custer. If the photo was made in 1880, he looks too young to be the famous holy cheyenne. Indeed, the Minneconjou at the time was 31 years old. However, can anyone post a certain image of the Minneconjou in young age, if it exsist?

I can't conceal my displeasure at my insistence. I always have seen labelled in wrong way, in several web-site, the "Camp Weld-1864" photo-group. I have seen reversed their positions, from here my mistake! Now, making comparison between the two pics, with concentration, i have realize. In all the 3 photos where him appears, WHITE ANTELOPE is always at the edge: twice at left, once at right. The Administrator and all Members forgive me!
