He arrived on Florida with the majority of the Chiricahuas, on the last of September 1886. There he was certainly welcome by José Second herre since april 1886.

In addition to above, in Chihuahuas group of men sitting number 7 who we keep picking on, looks a lot like Jose First. Jose frist always wore a black vest and had bushy hair, very similar to number 7. José First could not be with José Second at Fort Marion. He did not participate at the 1885 outbreak. also he enlisted as scout with Chatto on may 1885, to fight the outbeakers.

I am certain the man with mr Bruce is, despite the Bruce family tradition, not Geronimo who never was allowed to visit Fort Marion. Also, he does not look like the old warrior. I agree with Naiches it is Cathlay (Colle, Cullah, Curley etc) For some time I thought that the man usually identified as Laziyah, was actually Chihuahua himself, but the discussions in the Naiche thread convinced me he could well be Laziyah (who, in my opinion is also shown in the famous train photo). I got the impression from Sweeney's book that Tah ni toe was still a young fellow with no particular standing, and the image clearly shows a more prominent middle aged man... We can't be certain of course, but I doubt it is Tah ni toe and up to this point will stick with Laziyah... Coeurrouge, what is your argument for stating that you are nearly sure it is not Laziyah? You maybe right about Laziyah, but I do not find a photo of Laziyah to compare with the man with the medecine hat. By comparaison, I do not find a man of Geronimo'warrior or of Chihuahua who likes this man. And the only warriors who were at Embudos and not surrender were Atelnietze, Natculbaye and Tahnitoe, so... Tahnitoe was a close friend of Naiche, so he could the same age of the chief, I do not know you maybe right Jeroen that he is, in fact, Laziyah.

I do not remember where, but I found that Ulzana was married with a woman named Nah-Ish-Lah which looks like Neschila, so Neschila could be Ulzana'wife. The woman in front had a familiar face as Ilth-Gazy and we know that Chihuahua married a sister of Ilth-Gazy, so I think the woman in front was the second wife of Chihuahua. The boy in front, could be Eugene?
Is there anybody who knows the names of the two others wife of Chihuahua?

For the Valentin Day, a thought to the Apache lovers. To the warriors who took care and respected their wifes more than much of the white men (the civilized) of their at this time. And to the Apache women who endured the hard life in the mountain, especially on the 1880's, following their lover. This a photo of 2 women of Geronimo and Naiche's group at Fort Houston. I think they were Biyaneta and Haozinne, but I am not sure. Attachments:

if he is not José Second. A warrior at Los Embudos who seemed to not be with Chihuahua or Geronimo during their surrender, Who could he be? I am nearly sure he was not Laziyah, so i think more and more he was Tah-Ni-Toe. The only warrior of the 144 outbreakers who went to Florida with the Chiricahuas staid at San Carlos. your opinions Attachments:

Second, This man is often presented as Laziyah, but I have strong doubts about that. Because, on photo of warriors who surrendered with Geronimo, he never seemed to appear. On photo of warriors of Chihuahua, the only warrior (it is my thought) who look like this man, seems to be your ancestor José Second. Do you think I am right? Attachments:

Geronimo and his warriors never quit fort Pickens unless to go to Alabama. It was their family who came at Fort Pickens on april 1887. It was at this time that Geronimo met for the first time his daughter (done with Iltheda) Lenna, borned a year ago.

He is Lancey with Tsina at Carlisle. I am not sure, but the man I put on the photo seems to be Lancey. He is young, as was Lancey, and have a large face, so I conclude that he could be Lancey in the Chihuahua's warriors photo. what do you think?

good work on the photo.
Naiche2, could you make the others women at the same dimension and do the same for the photo of Chihuahua group (with the women and children at Fort Marion)?
It will allow us to make more easier the identifications. I am not good to work on dimension on the photos.
