Sherman Curley was not a tonto but a Pinal Apache. He was one of the scout who help the US army to kill Atelnietze in may 1896. Atelnietze was a cousin of Helen Curley. Sherman Curley married Jastessay, Atelnietze's cousin, two years later in 1898.

Zhante's death (aka Julia Denton) in 1928. The cause of death remember someone else... Tah-de-tonn, his mother zanyego and his aunt Jastessy were still alived in 1939. The San carlos' census we can see on internet stops in 1939.

Last one today, I have to sleep. Anajohe (aka Anna Baylis from Coyotero tribe band F, n°80) , born c.1885/1886, daugther of Zhante and Grand-daughter of Cochise. She married in Baylis' family (= the Bylas spared from Stevens' ranch slaughter in 1882 thanks to Naiche?)

After this marriage she marries John logan and has children out of both marriages>

from san carlos census in 1907, San Carlos Tribe, you will find Zanyego at n°755, single. Zanyego, daughter of Gessemida, sister of Jastessay and mother of Tah-de-tonn. In census 1914-1915, always n°39 band J Coyorero tribe, Jim Curly who change his nickname as Kelly, became Sherman Curley and Jastessay Helen Curley. Also always n°16 band H of San CArlos tribe, Tah-de-tonn became Charles Denton and Zanyego became Maria Denton. Gessemida certainly died in 1913. But juts below n°16 a widow was in n°17, named Djanate and nickname Julia Denton (like the family n°16) and Djanate was more similar to Zhante than Zanyego. So I think Djhanate was Zhante, not Zanyego. I still feel Zanye(go) and Zhante are the same person, if you pronounce zanye and zhante it lies much closer together in sound than Djanate and Zanthe, but I can't proof it. I do feel Djanate is another sister. In de 1900 federal census Gessemida is said to have had 6 children!

But in the army letter transmitting the request, it was writing "Ah-tsi-tah relation of Naiche and her son". The officer did not write "Zhante and her son Tah-de-tonn", he wrote "Zhante, Naiche's sister" and "Tah-de-tonn Naiche's nephew". So I still think that Zanyego, Tah-de-tonn's mother, was not Zhante. Me neither without clear proof.

I agree with you about Tah-de-tonn. I have all these census. It still need to find Zanyego before 1907. In the census 1887-1892, I do not find anyone yet, frustating.

Richard married Anuje in 1905, n°75 (the last family and certainly the recent one) of Coyotero band F. Anuje sister of Anajohe ? Because Yontsea or Djanate (zhante for me) had two daughters who had a very similar name.
