I start this thread with the best known pictures of Naiche (sometimes also spelled Natchez), son of Cochise and grandson of Mangas Coloradas, taken by photographer Frank A. Randall in 1886: Naiche by Frank A. Randall, 1886 (*SIRIS) Naiche & his wife Ha-o-zinne (*SIRIS) Naiche & his wife Ha-o-zinne (*SIRIS) Naiche I also have a full view version of the photo Jeroen posted in the Geronimo thread. Unfortunately there is no information about the photographer or the date: (posted originally by Jeroen)

My guess is Ft Sam Huston. There are tents in the Geronimo photos taken there and he's wearing the cowboy boots he bought before the train journey east. At San Carlos, ca.1880 - by George Rothrock Naiche? 1916. At the right is the Mescalero, Sanspuer; taken by the Rev'd James O Arthur

The last image posted by Jeroen in bigger format - besided Naiche and Geronimo (sitting third from left), we've also American Horse, Oglala (sitting first from left) and John Hollow Horn Bear, Sicangu (sitting first from right) - I think this photograph was taken at Omaha, 1898 Some time ago, I found this one an auction website (don't remember which one, sorry) - not top quality, but it's interesting, as I'm almost sure there's a similar picture of Geronimo.

I like Bay-kath-lay or Becalthey. He is chief of band of peaceful Chokonen exiled from San Carlos in sept. 1886 with Loco. Inf from Woodward B Skinner (Author): The Apache rock crumbles: The captivity of Geronimo's people
