If I'm not mistaking one of the last sun dance before the 1928 was in 1877 near Camp Robinson and Red Cloud Agency right?

On ebay, credited to J. H. Hamilton - a posed scalping... I wonder if they were taken during his period at Red Cloud and Spotted Tail in 1877...

Chak-uk-T-Kee, Arikara (Hamilton - or is it a Gurnsey?) Iron Horse, Arikara (Goff?) The man in the army jacket - I have him labelled as Sitting Soldier, Sicangu. I have him labelled elsewhere as 'medicine man' 'Sioux Jim' - a Winnebago, not Sioux Jim I have this as Sioux Jim's daughter, an Arapaho woman and 4th of July. I think the woman top left is Spotted Tail's daughter, so maybe the one with the baby is Sioux Jim's daughter - the daughter of the actual Sioux Jim - or maybe it's someone else being sold on the back of Sioux Jim's notoriety. Little Big Man(?) - Huffman Standing Buffalo, Winnebago "Nellie Laravie"

I hope Ephriam can help out on this one. I found this image recently. It is said to be a photo by Daniel S. Mitchell. Is this correct? And who is the man in this portrait?

Dear Dietmar, this could be a 1877 James Hamilton photograph taken at Camp Robinson or Camp Sheridan. In his catalogue of Stereoscopic views of Northwest #89 Sioux Warrior or #151 Warrior, with War Bonnet.

No Rod it is a different Peter. Thank you again. When you talk about the museum, are you referring to the Milwaukee Museum? If I read you correctly, are saying that portfolio sold by the museum is different from the ledger and the museum does not own those pictures anymore since it sold them? Can you post some old drawings from the portofolio? Is there any drawing of Crazy Horse? and the photo with Red Hawk killing the Crow who killed hois friend that you posted is not property of the museum? Thank you

Sorry, but I'm more confused than ever. Does this mean that these drawings can be published without asking permission to the Milwaukee public museum? So, you still have the set you bought as teenagers? Does your set have the same drawings of the Milwaukee museum? The drawings you have posted in this discussion are yours or belong to the museum? Sorry for the confusion I'm creating.
