Chief Thunderface as he was known as onstage in the circa 1920's. The Smithsonian Museum in New York has quite a bit of information regarding Chief Thunderface so you may want to inquire with them as well.

Came across your site and found it very interesting and informative. I enjoyed reading all the post. I have been researching my ancestry for some time now still looking for clues to some of my ancestors. I spent my summers in Fort Davis, Alpine, Marfa Texas and visiting Ojinaga. Mexico. My grandmother was Indian/Mexican. However, my great-Aunts & uncle were Lipan Indian. The Lipan Indians were called the "mud clan" due to their dark chocolate skin color. My great Aunt's photo is part of a documentary of the "Fort Davis" History in Fort Davis, Texas. Her Husband was Anton Aggerman who was a solider of the Fort. Family stories of my great-great grandfather states that he did not approve of what the Calvary of Fort Davis did to Chief Victorio who was one of the peaceful Chiefs. As a child I use to cross the dirt road and play with my sisters, brothers and cousins in the ruins of this old fort, climb the mountains and visit the hidden caves with an old Indian named Salso. I wished I listen more to the adults and stories they told. (The Fort was renovated by Lady Bird Johnson) We all have some great history that we were given to us. Just trying to put the pieces together. Love all your family histories & stories. Good luck to all!

list made in 1894 by Chatto, Mangas, Geronimo and Kaathenay of relatives hold captives in chihuahua. It put confirmation Pet-zhan (Frijole, n°13 in the male list, was captured in december 1885. maybe n°14 and 15 Delzhinne and Dakgledon, sons of Juh. on the female's list, I think n°2 and 3 were Geronimo's wives and n°4 Chatto's wife, Martine's sister and Nolgee's daughter. Study and comparewithj the 1885's lits of 95 names made by Davis. it showed the Chiricahuas always tried to free their kinfolks captives in Mexico. Attachments:

male list n°1 : Chatto's son female list n° 5 : Chatto's daughter female list n°9 : another unknown daughter of Geronimo with Nah-no and born circa 1860? It would mean that in 1880 she could be his oldest child. His name was ckecked here and in Davis' list of 1885 by the officers. and Geronimo always complained that he Sahuaripa fight 2 wifes (Chee-has-kish escaped five months later) and 2 daughters hab been captured

In 1885 under pressure from the US, Chihuahua state released 13 Chiricahua women from Chihuahua City and let them alone to go to USA. 4 seemed to die (or joined some hided Chiricahuas in the Sierra Madre) before the border in 1885's Fall (7 first and 2 others one month later)
Is there somebody known the names of these 9 women who succeeded to join their kinfolk at Fort Apache, please?
