The girl "inset photo" is Rachel Tsikahda who later at Fort Sill married Yahnozha. The other two (in 1887) are not Mabel (Nah-do-yah) nor Benedict (Jozhe). Mabel herself finished school at Carlisle, moved to Concordville Pennsylvania and married a white guy. They were married for several years and had one daughter Elizabeth born to them in 1903. They divorced by 1905-1906, and Mabel and daughter Elizabeth moved to Fort Sill . Shortly afterwards, Mabel and Benedict married and started a family. Benedict Jozhe became the step-father of Elizabeth (Who died in 1923 at age 20). Mabel Nahdoyah and Jozhe (I assume that him because he is standing next to her).

Rachel is the one sitting Is Rachel Tsikahda the one sitting ? Photo on the left is from Benedict Jozhe, Sr. Collection: "Mrs. Benedict Jozhe, Sr., A Warm Spring Apache. She is a granddaughter of Chief Loco and half sister to Talbot Gooday. Copy of photo taken at Carlisle, Pa". I assume that the photo on the left is reproduction of the photo on the right. So for me is Mabel Nahdoyah Attachments:

Mithlo, in « Reply #45 on Apr 15, 2011, 10:42am » you wrote: "All the girls in the middle row left to right: Alice Nahnichkial, Dorothy Naiche, Ramona Chihuahua, Jeanette Pahgostatum, Beatrice Kaihtel, and Naomi Sippi". But for me your Naomi Sippi is Annette Suisson. The girl (first and second on the right) on my comparison set could be Naomi Sippi. Attachments:

Your right. I had my "wires crossed" because they both were members of the Loco family, Mabel being a grandaughter of Loco and Rachel being a cousin of both Mabel and Talbot. All three in the photo, including Dexter, are Loco family members. Mabel Nahdoyah (young girl, sitting ).

Could the girl photographed at Fort Houston (San Antonio) in Bobby's reply 204 be Leosanni (also spelled Lo sahnne) for as far I have been able to determine, she was the only girl about that age in the Naiche/Geronimo group...
