The man to Chato's left seems to be Sherman Curley Why do you think so? It was an impression, it's not that I'm sure. If I remember correctly, there's an image of him in one of Toby Giese's Apache photo books. He was a Western Apache and an army scout when they attacked Adilnadzid's small group in the Sierra Madre. Do you think all the people on the image are Chiricahuas?

Or Chiricahua and few Mescalero, but not Westerners.

In sweeney's book it is stated that Sherman Curley was married to one of Cochise's daughters, does did mean that Sherman Curley the same as Goklitz? Btw, I think kayitah has a point that he looks like Sherman Curley in the photo posted above...

He is Lancey with Tsina at Carlisle. I am not sure, but the man I put on the photo seems to be Lancey. He is young, as was Lancey, and have a large face, so I conclude that he could be Lancey in the Chihuahua's warriors photo. what do you think?

I doubt it, the features, particularly around the mouth, are different... As for Goklitz being Sherman Curley, so he is either one and the same but died in 1901 and then he is obviously not in the 1925 photo, or they are different men and Sherman could be in the photo... In the Reed & Wallace thread we have a photo of Goklitz with his wife (a daughter of Cochise), Sherman was also married to Cochise's daughter, at least that is what Sweeney says in his book... perhaps they married different daughters and thus became in laws...
