Good morning everybody. Talking about the cyanotype posted by Dietmar on Mar 30, 2012 at 2:53pm I was thinking if the man sitting at far left could be Young Spotted Tail in short hair. Looking at the nose shape and the prominence of cheek bones I found some resemblance with the pics posted in Spotted Tail's family thread. Hope this helps. Greetings from Italy.

Good morning everybody
Talking about the 4th chief “Wa-na-re-wag-she-go”, translated in “the Ghost Boy”, the second part of the name “wag-she-go” to me sounds much like “wasicu” which means “white” or “white man”.
Hreinn tells us the word “há” in the second chief’s name "He-a-long-ga" could variously be translated with “hide” or “skin”. So what about reading it “White Skin On a Shoulder”?
Hope this helps. Greetings from Italy

Hi everybody, maybe it's just an impression, but the man seated at left with hat and labelled as 'No Relations', to me looks a little bit like Rocky Bear. I admit I don't know if he was in Pine Ridge Agency at the time Godkin took the photo. The inscription could indicate that he doesn't have any known relation with the others in the picture. Best regards from Italy

Hi everybody! It's the first time I write on this forum even if it's years I follow it enthousiastly!! In my opinion the man kneeling left in the first "Unidentified Photograph" is for sure Little Wound. Comparing with the Gardner photo on the Little Wound thread page we can see the two men wearing the same blanket, gilet, white shirt and earrings! The hairs are the same too, braided only on the left side. Proven this I vote for the other two being members of the same delegation, considering some Brulés and Oglalas not comparing on Gardners series. Hope this helps, best regards!
