My search for information on „Wounds one Another“ (see the respective thread for details) has revealed the following: that he had been the son of the Kuhinyan Bull Bear and Cloud from Medicine Root District, that the names of his younger siblings were Nina / holy stand, John, and Elize / Lizzie and that he also went by the names „Shot one another“ and Jackson. In this connection, I have two questions: 1. Does anyone have further information or photographs relating to Jackson Bull Bear / Shot one another and his family? 2. Does anyone have further information on the photograph below that is supposed to feature Bull Bear and his wife? Thank you! Attachments:

Hi Rainer,
that´s terrific. I couldn`t hope you`d find info on Wounds-One-Another so quickly.
I agree with Grahame that the photo shows High Bear.
Several man bore the name Bull Bear, most prominently the chief who got killed by Red Cloud. He had had several sons, one of them also named Bull Bear. However, I´m sure we have other members who know more about his genealogy.
There are photos of other Bull Bears. They were taken in the early 1900s, I´m not sure if they were related. I´ll try to post them later...

Thanks so much for the quick response regarding the attached photograph, Graham and Dietmar. That's precisely why I wanted to have the information on it double-checked. I'm looking forward to what else comes up ...

Hi Graham, it certainly is a great pic with lots of interesting details! Too bad that it does not depict Bull Bear whom I am looking for. But I'm really grateful for your good eye and for clarifying the true identity of the depicted. After seeing the photo you provided, there can be no doubt that it shows High Bear. Thanks for that!

The Oglala Lakota man known as High Bear, and his wife known as Yellow Blanket, seem to be wearing Miwa'tani Warrior Society Headdress and Sashes in the photo.
