We had an earlier discussion in the Miniconjou-section about several men named High Bear, obviously a common name among the Lakota. amertribes.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=miniconjou1&action=display&thread=179&page=1One of these High Bears was photographed by L.A. Huffman around 1879, and although he was with Lakotas returning from Canada, he possibly was a leader of an Oglala group. We have found a second photograph of him ealier on, and now there is a third portrait of him which recently turned up at Ebay. High Bear by L.A.
