I never seen the photo of the Apache delegation in 1886. Where can I go se see it? I wonder if Mickey Free is in it or William Alchesay. Please post it.

Kayatennae proved unruly dring the stay and was arrested in 1884 after an attack on Lieutenant Britton Davis and was sentenced to three years at Alcatraz, but was released after about 18 months at the request of General George Crook who employed him as a scout. He was present at Canyon de Los Embudos in Mexico along with Mickey Free.Attachments:

Chato a Chief, Chiricahua Apache. It is noted that his band killed Judge McComas & Mrs. McComas in March 28, 1883 near Silver City, New Mexico and took six year old son, little Charley McComas as a prisoner. According to the A. Frank Randall collection at Huntington Library Pasadena, California. Mickey Free and Lieutenant Davis reported to see the boy with the Chiricahuas. The Chiricahuas reported later that Charley McComas died in the winter in the Sierra Madres from sickness, caused by extreme cold. (Hayden files) Attachments:

Mickey Free (1848/50 - 1913) First Sergeant, United States Apache Scout. H troop interpretor spoke Apache, Spanish, English. Capture by White Mountain Apaches in 1861 he was only 12 years old. William Alchesay. (May 17, 1853 - August 6, 1928) White Montain Apache, he was a sergeant in the United States Indian Scouts under General George Crook. He received the Congressional Medal of Honor in 1875. He tried to convince Geronimo to surrender peaceffully on behalf of the United States Government and he remained friends with Geronimo until his death. He tracked Geronimo with Mickey Free.
