Hi! Does anyone knows, where I can find good family trees "of the famous one's"? Vertical is not good.
And - does anyone knows, when the last volumes of "Handbook of North American Indians" is do to arrive?

Hi HinTamaheca: Let me elaborate by an exampel: I have a little trouble with SB's family in my files. On these pages I came across a "tree" printet out i the vertical fasion. This left me confused, because old members and "nye" one's was being mixed together - so it seems to me. I misses a place, where I can see the relations horizontal. I tried your link, but nothing came out of it. To my excuse I have to tell you, I am more a "book-man" than an Internet-ditto" - but I am learning!

Hi Kurt, I have seen several versions of Sitting Bull´s family tree, which in some details differ from each other. If you look here: www.sittingbullfamilyfoundation.org/FamilyArchive.htmlyou´ll find a tree that is authorized by Sitting Bull´s direct ancestors. (you have to download the pdf) Additionally, I´m sure the upcoming book of Sitting Bull´s great-grandson Ernie LaPointe will offer some information about his ancestor´s family tree. Hello Wilson/Kurt,
The latest volume of the handbook that has been published is volume 2, as far as I know. Like you, I am keeping an eye out, for I collect them also. According to the new planning, the next one (don't know the number) is due this year. But, taking into account all earlier plans and planning, I would not bet on it... Still, they are making progress, and a next volume will come out soon.
