My name is Ronnie Kills In Water I’m from the Rosebud reservation. My maternal great grandmother’s maiden name was Caroline Douville. Caroline married John Kills In Water. Caroline’s father was a French man named Meddore Douville and Caroline’s mother’s last name was Marshall though I don’t know the first name. I’ve heard that Caroline’s mother’s side comes from Oglala country and that Caroline’s maternal grandmother or maybe maternal great grandmother was Annie Little Wound. Can anyone help me connect the dots? Thank you.

Hi Ronnie:
Her name was Louise Marshall, born about 1851 or 1852; married Medder Douville about 1878-79, and died on November 27, 1935 on the Rosebud Reservation. Does your family have any oral history about her father, Frank Marshall, the French Canadian fur trader?

Thank you so much. I’m sorry I don’t have any information about Frank Marshall.. This is all I have, just bits and pieces I’ve heard here and there. Who would Louise Marshall’s mother be? I’m sorry I guess I’m just trying to find all the lineage going back to Annie Little Wound if you can help that would be great. Once again thank you.
