Howdy everyone and hope all is well with you. I've been asked to review some artwork in a private collection. The provenance is verified and some of the artwork given to the original holder is now collected at the SDSHS. About a third or more of the collection is by an artist named "Okicinintawa" and the holder indicates his grandmother and great aunt, the recipients of the art, said he was Hunkpapa and that the drawings were done in 1890-91. His drawings are signed with his name glyph and Lakota name in lead pencil. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks and all best! Rod.
