My name is Mark Momjian, and I am the immediate past Chair of the Armenian Center at Columbia University. I am doing research for a program on Armenian social philately, and I acquired this vintage postcard recently. It appears to be circa 1910-1911. It was postmarked from Denver from a railroad engineer to an Armenian engineer working in what was then regarded as “Turkey in Europe.” I have completed my research on the sender and the recipient, but was hoping someone might assist me in identifying the colorized portrait on the postcard’s verso. I can’t find another sample of this postcard on the Internet, and there is no identifying information on the front or back of the card. The initials C.E.E. may be short for “Cartes Exchange Envoyer” but I am not 100% sure. I have many vintage postcards from the so-called Golden Age in which senders ask to exchange “views” with recipients. Thank you in advance for reading my email and letting me know if this image is identifiable. In sincere appreciation, Mark A. Thank you very much. The image does appear contrived. I’m more familiar with images that have been “Orientalized.” But your insight is deeply appreciated. Sincerely, Mark
