Before the beadwork on the plains tribes Possible Bags became more elaborate (1890's and forward) here is a fine example of an early version - dated to be around the 1860's/1870's. Tribal attribution is believed to be either Lakota or Cheyenne. The hide is buffalo (bison), the sides and the top flap are adorned with iron cones containing dyed horse hair.
