Greetings to everybody,
first of all thank you for accepting me as a member. I am looking for some info about Joseph Two Bulls, i found his photo in the Wikimedia Files, which gives the following details: (name given only as Joseph Two) Dakota Sioux, photo made by Heyn & Matzen around 1900. The name Two Bulls appears in relation to the Pine Ridge Reservation, so he could have been a member of the Oglala-tribe? I would like to ask if somebody knows more about him? Thank you for the help! Peace!

I am glad if you like it. Tatanka Numpa developes very nicely but still far away from being finished (the drawing is not a comission and not for sale).

Hi, the drawing is a freehand styile, so i just combinated the portrait of Joseph Two Bulls, and a photo of a wolf with a bit of researching and imagination.

Tatanka Numpa - Oglala Lakota (Joseph Two Bulls), i finished my drawing and wanted to share it with you. In the meantime i was trying to find out more about him, which is quite a challenge. The census from 1886 mention him as the son of Two Bulls and his wife ''Fool''. His brothers Fred and Moses, his sister Black Rock ?? His possible birthdate regarding census was around 1869. He married Walks First, later the census mention his wife as Nellie Two Bulls (i guess her English name). They had a son Georg Two Bulls (1898 - 1933 died because of tuberculosis) and a daughter Sophia. He was residing in Pine Ridge, Wounded Knee District. The census from 1918 still mention Joseph Two Bulls as head of the household, after that there is no trace of him. His wife Nellie Two Bulls is mentioned in 1920 as head of the household. That is all i could figure so far, but i am still on the search!

Salut. Ton dessin est magnifique. Bravo. Il se trouve que moi aussi je suis tombé sous le charme de la photo de Joseph Two Bulls. Son regard a quelque chose d'hypnotique
