I was wondering if anyone could help point me in the right direction.  I live in the UK, but my great great grandma was Sioux Indian and came from Canada, before coming to the UK with my great great grandad, who may have had the surname of gill.  I know nothing about this lady apart from that.  I dont even know her name.  I would love to find out more about her but dont know where to start, and wondered if you could help.

might help to find out what type of "sioux"... sioux is a french take on an ojibwe word that covers a lot of different tribes...

I have to say that we dont have surnames and many people just had their names so Gill would be a french
