Does anyone know which type of wood was preferred by Lakota warriors for their arrows?
I am currently starting to make my own arrows ... I am beginning by using oak and cherry. These woods may not be the best, but they are more readily available. The choice of wood does make a difference - because the arrows should have the right stiffness (they should not bend too much or be too stiff). I will be using the arrows for hunting wild boar and wild pigs.
thanks, dT

Don't know about Lakota; Numunu used dogwood.
