Actually I'm working a little bit on delegations and their members. Here my identifications for the plains delegation of 1867: What do you think? (I hope the link will work now)

Great effort Gregor !
Do you know where this photograph was taken ?
P.S. I agree with you about the resemblance of Afraid of Bear to George Sword on the photograph in the thread Brave Bear and Sword owner.

Hey Gregor, could you please check your tinypic link. Thanks! I agree to your identifications. However, I found some more IDs in "Remember Your Relatives" by Renee Samson Flood and Shirley A. Bernie: left to right: Alex. Guyon - interpreter, Dr. Walter A. Burleigh - ex-Yankton Agent, President Andrew Johnson, Andrew J. Faulk - Territorial Governor of Dakota The man standing far right is in my opinion Ah-le-ga-wah, a Kaw/Kansas Indian. Since there is a different portrait of Alexander C. Guyon at the Smithsonian, I believe Gregor is right in assuming the man on far left is Hole-in-the-Day, Ojibwa. The man far left in the long Yankton row, standing next to Little White Swan is Patrick H. Conger, Yankton Agent.

I´ve checked the 1867 delegation photos and first have to correct the identification in aboves post. The correct IDs are: from left to right: Hole-In-The-Day (Ojibwa), Lewis V. Bogy (Commissioner), Andrew Johnson (President), Orville H. Browning (Secretary of the Interior), Al-le-wa-ga-ho (Kansa/Kaw)
