It may be a risky guess, but could it be Garditha ? Attachments:

It is said that Garditha "must have" died in Florida or Alabama because nothing is known as to what ever became of him! He could very well have been sent to Carlisle, he would have been about the right age and he was known by 2 or 3 different names. The first two photo's are VERY convincing yet not sure about the third photo. Hhhhmmmmmmm............I like the way you think Bobby!!!!.....Great work!!!! It may be a risky guess, but could it be Garditha ?

Thanks for your comments Mithlo, I'm doing my best, but it's hard to compare the photos, because of their poor quality.

Good work, Bobby!
We have 3 group images of Carlisle students: (1) 28 boys + 9 girls arrived November 4 1886 and (2) 3 boys + 4 girls from Mangus’ band arrived November 8 1886 = 44 Compare with Skinner,The Apache Rock Crumbles, p.137: ‘By December 32 boys and 12 girls had departed’ = 44
In April 22 1887Captain William Henry Pratt selects 62 more Apaches from Fort Marion to take to Carlisle. 32 children, 5 older girls, 12 married couples, and 1 man, Jason Betzinez, are taken involuntarily. Benedict Jozhe, Charles Ishtee, Tsisnah and Lucy, and Talbot Gooday and his wife are included. On image (3, group arrived 30 april 1887) I counted 61 children, one is missed, perhaps.

If this man is Gail Marko (1866 – 1896), next him is Sybil Marko (died at Carlisle February 11, 1888), his wife (?). Attachments:

Dexter Loco was sent to Carlisle in 1883 from Arizona and was still there when the groups arrived in 1886 and 1887, there-fore he doesn't show up in the group photo's of new arrivals.

Yes, you're right, I checked it in Sweeney's book (p.351). Rudolph Esenday (died March 1, 1889 at Carlisle) and Knox Nostlin Attachments:

Kinzhuna means "Pretty Foot"-"Pretty Moccasin". He was the brother of Kaahteney, they were Warm Springs Apache. Arnold was born in 1866. Hulda was born in 1869 and died at Mount Vernon Barracks. She was Warm Springs-Mimbreno Apache. Any idea's on the ID's of the young boy and girl?
