There are many images of Apache scouts, most of them Western Apache. I start this thread to collect them together. Let's see how many we can come up with... Three White Mountain Apache scouts, left to right: as Luca, Skro Kit and Shus El Day.

Kayitah, Thanks for posting the above picture and verifying Dandy Jim is there, on the far right.

Kayitah, Thanks for posting the above picture and verifying Dandy Jim is there, on the far right. yes, Dandy Jim is crouching on the far right. Crouching on the far left is Ukashe, while Ha-teth-la is in the rear, with darl face paint on his cheeks. I've seen at least one source (could be Toby Giese's two books) where the man with a white shirt at center is identifed as Capitan Chiquito. I can't positively say it is him, as I've never seen a photograph of him. He was painted, though, by Eldridge Ayer Burbank.

The fellow at right looks familiar... Found this one, including Merejildo Grijalva, a slightly different version of the more familiar one:

Good post xframe As all who post on this site know, all the renegades did not surrender in 1886. The "bronco Apaches" still raided into the "bootheel" of NM until the early teens of the 1900's, according to the people who were raided! Anybody have any different insight on the Bronco Apaches? Also, I have the book "Bronco Apaches, They Never Surendered."
