You may be right about Lozen, she is not in the train photo, nor can she be identified in one of the Fort Houston images, and she is not mentioned in the general Stanley list. Still, it is not easy to dismiss Kanseah's definite statement that she really was with the Naiche/Geronimo group until the final surrender. As for Kilthigai actually being Tsisnah, it does make sense, the only thing is, Tsisnah was born about 1864, so he was about 22 years old in 1886 , but in the Stanley report Kilthigai is estimated to be about 35 years. And judging from the Fly images and the Carlisle portraits Tsisnah clearly shows his young age, not a man in his mid thirties...

Also, I think Lozen went in with the reservation group despite what you read. Eyelash probably went in with Chihuahua or the reservation group. Lets see if we can find a picture of Goso. There has to be a Carlisle picture of him. Sounds plausible. And I agree, there has to be a Carlisle photograph of Goso. I am also trying to find pictures of the following young men and, in case I come across them, will gladly post them in the forum: Benedict Jozhe Duncan Balachu Binday Chechil Motsos A few days ago, I stumbled over the following picture of Carlisle students - identified as Charles Istel, Humphrey, and Thomas. The date seems to be wrong, though, just as it's the case with other Carlisle photographs. Charles Istel (or Istee) is Victorio's son. Humphrey would be Humphrey Escharzay or Simon Humphrey. According to the list below, there were two boys with the first name "Thomas" - Thomas Dasalay and Thomas Morgan, as well as one named George Thomas. The list doesn't seem complete/correct, as Goso, Jasper Kanseah, and Chappo (among others, probably) are missing - and "Oliver pregnant dogaict" is a rather weird name, seems incorrect. Can you the names and, if there are any, photographs of those three descendants? I found this one, taken many years later (probably near White Tail, Mescalero) of Dora, wife of Charles Istee and their child (grandson of Victorio) named Evan.

Hello Cheryl, welcome to these boards! From the top of my head, Rachel Tsikahda was a Chihenne (Warm Springs) woman, and married to Yanosha/Yanazhe (later given the name Edwin). Yanosha's sister was She ga, Geronimo's fourth wife. He was also related to Naiche, possibly they were cousins. He lived until 1954; more info (and photographs) about Yanosha can be found in the Naiche thread. Rachel was related to Loco's family. The couple had at least 6 children, four of them died at Fort Sill, one survived and went with Rachel and Yanosha to Mescalero in 1913. The last child was born shortly after their arrival. The Morgan family is also related to Cochise, through his little known daughters (half sisters to Taza and Naiche). I will add more info later on...

My Great Grandmother is Rosie Effie Morgan. Thomas Morgan is a relative. If you know this connection, I would love to know. My family come from Cheyenne, Apache and Creek nations. I know the Cheyenne Woodside's are direct relatives and that we are related to a woman Pretty Nose. My Grandfather revealed his tattoo on his ankle to my cousin and shared his experiences with my cousin. I am soo thankful for youe information. .. I am excited to hear more.

Hello! I am new to these boards. I am a member of the Fort Sill Apache Tribe, Chiricahua Apaches. My G-Grandfather is listed in the long list, Talbot Goday (sic) "Gooday". He was the son of Bey-it-tsun and Sethmooda, who were the daughter of Chief Loco and Chief Mangas Coloradas, respectively. I will post some photos I have of him when I figure out how to do so on these boards. Thank you, Peggy Gooday

A quick note: many of the names in the long list are of White Mountain Apache. Talbot Gooday is Chiricahua Apache, his daughter, Ida Gooday-Largo (my grandma), was born prisoner-of-war as her family were all incarcerated at Fort Sill. Thank you, Peggy Gooday(O)

Hello Peggy - a warm welcome from me! We've had another member of the Fort Sill Chiricahua here - Bryan Jones, cultural administrator for the Fort Sill Apache. Maybe you know him? Anyway, I hope you enjoy these boards! Greetings from Switzerland, Marco

Welcome, welcome, Peggy! We are glad see you We would be glad if you tell us about his ancestors. I read that Talbot Goodaywas Prominent member of his tribe. Tell me please what he did in his life. In my opinion, after Carlisle, he served as a sergeant in the company of Indian Scouts.
