Wonderful material. I recall some of the artifacts from a movie that never gets old named, "The Windwalker".
It speaks of an Cheyenne story that was said to be around the years of 1760-1790, right about the time the first people from europe came. The season was winter, and the Cheyenne were moving to go to another camp but a few stayed behind for one of the Cheyenne's old great warrior was sick.
The story begins here but the movie goes into a flash back on how this old warrior had two children, lost one from a Crow kidnapping him and his wife died. He then took most of his life to only see his child once before he gave up hope in finding his child.
Then the movie comes back to present time and the second son who became a great warrior placed his father at the cemetary for the Cheyenne. Soon after the remaining Cheyenne were attacked by Crow and the great warrior is fatally wounded by a struck of a war club from the back.
The Crow have different views on the situation that leads one of their younger members to leave the group believing that the medicine and power of the Cheyenne simply is too strong. A fool like the other Crow try to defeat the Cheyenne warrior, but lost his tracks.
I will not explain the full story incase someone either did not see the movie or was told of this great story.
Would anyone else also happen to have material of the Cheyenne?

In simple terms I would suggest you place a box between the top menu bar and the forum categories and inside you place links to either the most visited areas or areas that you would point for viewers and guests to take a look at.
For example, I went in search of the site's rules, and I simply can not find it. I want to make sure I know the rules that way I do not break them. Having a link to the direct thread will help others who are new that also seek it.
But this is only a thought, the staff may do as they please...

Were there not artifacts specifically purposed for burials? I have seen from other areas that there were burial grounds.

Everyone, I am a rather shy individual that has a very deep interest of the Native Americans that were here long before white men such as myself. Although my heritage is white I "do not match up" with other whites. In fact I look more Hispanic like my step mother rather than my Italian father. My interest came from my father, who has a respect for Natives. Both my father and I hunt, and my father would rather bow hunt then use a firearm. I too rather enjoy bow hunting than firearms. But my interest surpasses my fathers for I have a few native artifacts. These include an actual hand made White Buffalo Medallion, medicine pouch, a necklace with beads and some type of bird claw, and also and two dream catchers. When I came to this proboards site I was overjoyed, finally coming to a community that is the very essence of Natives. The legends, history, lifestyle, all interest me. I even considered finding a mentor to help me speak Western Apache. I think this will do fore my introduction, if any questions please feel free message me...
