Thank you, Diane! This letter I write with help of my colleague. About help - would you maybe help me in finding the work of Gillett Griswold "The Fort Sill Apaches" which not been published yet? And most importantly - I would be very pleased if you would support my themes. I am always glad to communicate with educated and interesting people ;D

Dear Forum Participants! I did not pay my attention to this section and thus failed to introduce myself then. So let me introduce myself now: Anton Nikonov, from Moscow, ( Idaho) Russia. I am glad to join your Forum where one can find friends sharing the same interests who are knowledgeable about the immense and beautiful world of North America's indeginous people. Thank you, Daina and Dietmar, for creating this site - I enjoy its thoroughly conceived and implemented design and organisation! My interest in Indians dates back to my childhood. I was in the first form (grade) at school when I happened to read The Last of the Mohicans by Fenimore Cooper. It was hard for me to comprehend though why it was necessary to have so lengthy descriptions of Nature. Much later, during my University years, I learned about various lieterary trends and romanticism methods. When I was a small child I rather wanted more of action and illustration. Years later, my interest in Indians reduced to that about the Apaches and Yavapai - I have no idea about the real reason for that - it was not my choice, while the interest in illustrations grew and got transformed into collecting photo pictures. I have not yet been to America, so I buy books from there and find relevant info from the Internet. My current interests are focused on historic individuals, first of all Chiricahua Apaches who were forcefully deported to Florida. I am currently writing an article "Chihuahau & Ulzana: Cossacks of the Sierra Madre", and I would appreciate any help from the Forum. So far I have collected many pictures, some in rather good quality, seme taken from sites that are extinct already. My knowledge of English is poor, but I will be glad to answer any questions about Apaches and the pictures! Anton
