In Vestal's well-known book "New Sources of Indian History", page 168 seems to be missing. I have checked various copies, but in all I have seen, this page is missing. Does anyone know where I can get the information from that particular page? Many thanks in advance, Carlo

Carlo,
I have a personal copy of New Sources. Page 168 is certainly there. Between it and page 169 is a map "Map of Colonel Baker's Camp on the Yellowstone River."
Just to be sure that 168 is your problem, page 167's last sentence begins "Iron Bull followed him and", and is continued on 168 with "counted the second coup."
I can scan any pages you don't have. Send me an email if you need them: dick.miller@comcast.net.

Hi Dick,
Thanks so much, I will send you an email shortly!
(In my copy of the book, page 167 ends with "Iron Bull followed him and", after which come two pages with the same map, then a blank page and then page 169, which starts with "chapter entitled Bullet Proof. Old Bull, however, ...". Apparently this is a misprint for all editions by Gayley Press.)
