Though they probably originated in the St. Lawrence/Great Lakes area they moved south to what is now North Carolina, but at the end of their war with the British, the Tuscarora removed to New York and joined the Iroquois Confederacy except for those who had been loyal to the British and they eventually settled in Oshweken, Ontario, Canada on the Six Nations Reserve.
I cannot seem to find however, exactly when those Tuscarora moved to Canada and I am hoping some of you can provide the answer, especially as to whether or not there was any kind of Tuscarora move to Canada in either the late 19th or early 20th centuries? If so, was that move under military escort, perhaps with Indian (non-Tuscaroran) scouts?
Any information will be much appreciated.

OK, I have discovered that the 'British' Tuscarora followed Joseph Brant to the Six Nations Reserve in 1784. There were apparently 129 Tuscarora at that stage, but I have not found any evidence that there was any other migration to that Reserve at any later date.
