I ran into a news paper clipping dec31st 1920 Shelby Promoter it was a interview of Shot In The Hand at the home of Bird Horse interpretated by Bull Chief by Ernest e. Murry he tells of his first fast as a youth tagging along with some young men who tried to turn him back being caught in blizzard during his fast causing him to seek shelter in a cave for 7 days then encountered a cinnamon bear with no teeth and told him this how long you will till your old with no teeth then not to have haughty temper an no bullets or arrows will kill you that he will kill four enemies the following spring .it's a very brief description of the actual interview then he goes on and recounts his part in the big Sioux on Pryor creek which very much the same as the Edward Curtis interview. He is one of my favorites to read about so I was wondering if any one knew how he got his name thanks.
