Ahuka attended the Hampton Institute Identifications, thanks to Dietmar. He made ledger drawings, some (all?) of which are held by The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. However, I've only been able to find three: Making peace with the Sioux The man at left is a member of the Taroxpa Society - note the 'Crow-style' hair, the red fringed whote muslin shirt and the achievement marks on his shirt and leggings. Candace Greene, in Arikara Drawings: New Sources of Visual History, has pointed out that similar exploit marks can be seen on leggings of 'Sioux' - and she refers to photographs of Yankton men taken in the 1870s. Here, we can see the 'Sioux' man has similar markings on his leggings. You can see them on the leggings of this man - I'm assuming he's Arikara, but Goff photographed 'Sioux' men against the same backdrop: Scalping a Sioux Chase Scene Drawings by other Hampton students can be found here: www.pafa.org/collection-subject/native-american-drawing?page=0
