Quick Thunder Wa kia-ox-un-ko Ogalala 56 years old
15 years old when he went on the first war party. It was against the soldiers. Red Cloud was the chief. They killed 100 soldiers and over 10 Sioux were killed, but he is not certain. It was at a fort on Lodge-Pole Creek.
At the age of 30 he took the pipe and led a war party against the Crows. The only result was that they took 30 head of horses from the enemy.
He was in 10 battles mostly against the Crows.
He did not count coup.
He considers Crazy Horse the greatest leader of the Sioux and General Miles of the whites.
A medicine man named Wants-to-die-quick gave him the name of Quick Thunder.
He was not in the Custer Battle or in the Battle of Wounded Knee.
