Good question Gregor, I´ve been wondering about him for a long time... All I know is he´s from the 1872 delegation...

Hi, for a long time I've / we've been wondering who was the above member of the 1872 Lakota delegation. Now I came across this picture in my archive (don't ask me where I found it / it is not my caption ): Could this really be High Bear? A High Bear accompanied Red Cloud in 1872 to Washington. The delegation member High Bear is one of the few (3 or 4 persons) who couldn't be identified on a Gardner photograph so far. The more I look at the pix I think it is a possibility (look at the nose..). Of course it is difficult to say because of the different angles of the faces. What do you think?

Hallo Gregor,
frankly... I would vote for no.
But I haven´t got a clue who he is.
