Kingsley, Thanks for your reply and hard work !
re: paragraph (1.) I do have a copy of the Meat Records that you speak of.
re: paragraph (2.) Per copy of "Report of Heirship" for "Breaks Rock": Breaks Rock married 3 times; a.) Unknown b.) Crow On Head (aka), Yellow Bull #1 c.) Charging Eagle
Breaks Rock had 3 Children; White Cow Chief [other Parent, Unknown] Yellow Bull #2 (aka), Brown Bull [other Parent, Yellow Bull #1] Louis Returning Warrior [other Parent, Yellow Bull #1]
It appears that Charging Eagle and Breaks Rock did not have any children together.
re: paragraph (3.) Interesting. I too, will do some research on this. Thanks.
re: paragraph (5.) Yrs. ago my Grandmother showed me a letter from a cousin of hers which, stated that Transparent Stone's 1/2 sister, (aka) Chief Spotted Tail's Widow #2, had inherited 1/6 of Spotted Tails Estate. Through copies of "William Spotted Tail's Testimony", Widow #2 is "Black Lodge". Therefore, Charging Eagle's wife, Transparent Stone (my G.G.G. Grandmother), was a 1/2 sister to Black Lodge.

I am new to this site. I would like to ask for help with my Lineage Research Project. I am the G.G.G. Grandson of "Charging Eagle" (b. 1834, d. 1910) Throughout my research and the help of some other family members, we have discovered that there were possibly as many as 4 Sioux, Charging Eagle's. My G.G.G. Grandfather was the Charging Eagle, who camped with the Kiyuska, in the Medicine Root District (near Pine Ridge, SD) and just north of Kyle, SD with: "Chief Little Wound." I have worked for several years now on my Native American Heritage and continue to try and find out more. It seems as though per family stories, Charging Eagle came to Pine Ridge from Colorado in circa 1868. He would later settle near Pine Ridge for the remainder of his life. My goal is to learn more of his journeys in life, prior to when, he came from Colorado. I have found out that his parents names were: Father; "Grows Quick" Mother; "Starts Fire" However, I do not know what part of the Sioux family they originated from ? Charging Eagle married at least 4 times and these were his wives that I know about: All Holy, Paints Yellow, Broken Rock, Transparent Stone and possibly, Close Together. Charging Eagle's had at least 3 daughters, who were: Julia Good Voice Bear, Top Of The Head (my G.G. Grandmother), Close Glad to be a member and Thank You ! Any help would be very much appreciated ! toksha
