These are indeed 10 of the 11 Comanches imprisoned at Fort Marion in 1875, Californian. There is another group photo I will post later that shows them all together. It isn´t easy to find identifications, but aside from Black Horse´s family, Grahame correctly identified Taawayte aka Telling Something aka Buffalo Scout (who later took the name Henry Pratt) as the young man kneeling at far right: Taawayte (Telling Something/Buffalo Scout/Henry Pratt), Comanche Note that although the Facebook site above says he is also in the group photo showing prisoners in uniform, he is not. Fifth from left is clearly Bear´s Heart, Cheyenne. Back to Californian´s picture: The man standing in the center (with arrows in his hands) is without much doubt Pile of Rocks aka Quoi-yo-uh. Several sources describe him as a big, heavy weighted (186 pounds) man. My hunch is also that the man standing far right is possibly Dry Wood (Wy-a-ko), a half Mexican man. We find him identified in another Fort Marion picture and he always seems to had cut his hair in a different way than the other Comanches.

Above is a second group photo of the Comanches at Fort Marion, this time including the 11th person (sitting far right). Probably he is Little Prairie Hill or Pa-voor-ite [aka Looking Glass] He was 42 years of age, only Black Horse and Pile of Rocks were a few years older.
In this picture, Black Horse´s family is sitting in front. Pile of Rocks and Telling Something are sitting behind them (3rd and 4th from left in second row). The man I think is Dry Wood is sitting far left, his hair a bit longer than in the picture before.

And here is a third group photo of the Comanches. Again we got Black Horse´s family and left of them Telling Something (Taawayte).
The big Pile of Rocks is sitting at the fire holding meat skewers.

thank you both, Dietmar and Grahame for your great insights. When one studies the facial expressions of these people one wonders what went on in their minds at that very moment. At least the identifications can be helpful for surviving descendants to reconnect with their ancestors.
