Thank you My grandmothers Catherine Laravie and Madeline Laravie are both descendants of Chief Standing Bear their children grew up in South Dakota |

Alfred Laravie is also my Maternal 2x Great Grandfather on my mother's Side. Her Grandparents are Jacob Laravie and Rebecca Leroy both Ponca. Mother Catherine Laravie Zephier Ponca Father Valentino Zephier Santee.

I am looking for any and all info on a HART connection to Chief Standing Bear. My grt grt GMA Margaret Hart-Langdeau was a Yankton Sioux.Her father was John Hart.We always heard we descended from Chief Standing Bear, through her (Hart). Would anyone have any info, or know if she had siblings , who her mother was, etc? All we know is that her mother was a Yankton Sioux woman, but there is a connection to Chief Standing Bear. I would love to know some info, facts, etc.I would greatly appreciate any replies.TY!We also found out her native name, translated, was white hat woman.
