Greetings, Wakalapi has arrived on the scene! Thank you for the new board and I look forward to learning much more. As for myself, I was wondering how many of you can translate the word "Wakalapi"? Just FYI for those of you who don't know. Wakalapi is a Lakota word for Coffee. It is my user name and self selected based on the color of my skin. I'am a FT, life long student looking forward to learning more primarily about the northern tribes. More specifically Hunk-Papa & Oglala. Keep me posted. Toksa Ake Wakalapi

Wakalapi,
to be honest, I´m very glad you joined because this is a website about American Indian history and I hope we will have as many Indian posters here as possible. I think you will find here many threads about Hunkpapa and Oglala history soon.
BTW, I noticed you live in the Pacific Northwest. How great. I have the best memories of Mount Olympic and the people of the Quinault and other Nations there.
Greetings from Germany
