Hello everybody, My name is Jeroen and am a Western artist from the Netherlands. I registered a couple of days ago as a new member and will do my best to add something new from time to time. I came across this forum by accident, was looking for some photographs of American Horse and found this site. It is really nice to see that many other people are just as interested and fascinated by the endless details of Native American history and culture as I am. Anyway, hope I'll be able to add some new info and photographs. Thanks

Hi Jeroen and welcome. If you don't mind my asking, is this you: www.oldwestartist.com/? If yes, well, your work is just amazing! I've discovered the website a couple of months ago and loved it. For American Horse's photographs (you mean the Sioux American Horse?) you may also want to look at the bio info posted on the main site: www.american-tribes.com/Lakota/BIO/AmericanHorse.htm

Welcome Jeroen, hope you like it here. Now we have at least three Dutch members! It seems the people from the Netherlands are even more interested in Indian culture and history than the Germans are. About the paintings... I´m very much impressed. Best wishes Dietmar

Hi Jinlian and Dietmar, Thanks, it is my website indeed. Was looking for some little known American Horse photos (yes the Oglala leader) for I am planning to do a portrait of him... and got them here... As for Dutch being more interested in Indian culture than Germans, I am not quite sure, got some good German collectors of my art work too!
also, I would like to post some photos, what's the easiest way to do so (don't have server space available)? My best, Jeroen

Hi Jeroen, you can post image first uploading them on the web (you can use a free image hosting service, as tinypic, imageshack, uptiki and so on) in order to have a web address for them, then putting the very web address in this tag (just replace the parenthesis with brackets): (img)imagewebaddress.something(/img) Can't wait to see your portrait of American Horse

...or simply send the photos in an e-mail to me (SchMoehring@aol.com) or Diane Merkel (DDMerkel@cox.net). We´ll post them for you.
