Another photo of One Bull at a Sun Dance - by Fiske,; 1920s or Josph Masters, 1936? It's clearly from the same day as the photo above... Another Palmquist and Jurgens (1884):

My friend Henri sent me this photo of the original shirt that One Bull is wearing in the image posted above:

Almost, but not quite the same shirt.
Note differences in fringes on left sleeve.
Also, in photo, on the left shoulder strip, the zig-zag from the three s tripes makes four turns before coming down in the middle of the buffalo hoof, while the museum's shirt zig-zag has only one turn before coming down on the end of the hoof.
Also, the hair is tied differently; the photo does not appear to show cloth wrappings.
But then, it could be like the axe that a friend of mine has; Lincoln used it to split those rails in Kentucky and Indiana. It's had three replacement handls and four new heads, but it's still Lincoln's axe.

As you can see from the photo and from my own knowledge, the shirt itself is made of commercial leather. The original bib and strips were removed from the damaged shirt and sewed on the new shirt. The shirt was sold to a dentist from Williston, North Dakota for $10,000 and he donated it to the ND Heritage Center where it is on display. The dentist traveled to New Town, ND to his satellite practice where I was his patient.

Please, can anyone identify the individuals in this photograph of Frank Fiske? I got one suspicion, but I am not sure... Thanks! What a gorgeous cape on the girl with the hat! And is the pet in the photo a fox?

Here is another One Bull picture This is the Grand River School in the 1880ies or 1890ies. Has anybody a more accurate date? Here is a cut-out of the pic:

This is another cut-out: I was wondering whether the 2nd girl (left, sitting) could be Sitting Bull's daughter Standing Holy? Any ideas?
