Bloody Hand - Chief of the Snakes

Perhaps I just haven't mastered the correct way to Search for these persons
because I'm not finding to much reference to these..

written on bottom of CDV ; Bloody Hand - Chief of Snakes..

Google shows some references to him in the 1830's, yet photo is 1870 , I believe
Also looks a little young to be a Chief.

But whoever wrote the inscription on the photo, he is wrong.

This is rather Ke-wuk-o-car-war-ry, or Fox on the War-Path, or Fat George, a Skidi Pawnee.
