Myself, having read a lot of books about the Apaches, it's hard for me to come across a book I have not heard about or read. I was very excited when I purchased this book. This book goes into great detail about The Apache Diaspora, which details the business of Apaches being taken prisoner, and being sent to different places within New Spain, Mexico, South America, and the Caribbean Islands. This book covers four centuries of Spanish, French, British, American, and other Native American tribes' incursions into Apacheria. Starting in the 1500's and ending in the early 1900's. If your a fan of Apache culture and history, you must read this book!

Spain, Mexico, and the United States all overestimated their own power and underestimated Apache resistance and creativity. Yet in the process, both Native and colonial societies were changed."
