Black Duck ( Paguta Sapa), a Yanktonai at Ft. Peck, was the son of Long Fox. His father traveled to Washington as a delegate in 1872 and was photographed there by Alexander Gardner: Long Fox, 1872 Black Duck himself visited Washington at least twice. He was judge of the Indian Court at Ft. Peck for about 12 years. Here are some photos of Black Duck: Black Duck as an old man Black Duck Black Duck Black Duck, 1913 at Ft. Peck Black Duck, 1933

One question Dietmar. I know they look like each other. Black Duck and Long Fox. I have been looking for information about him and his descendants here on Fort Peck to see if he went by both names.
