Hello, I was wondering if you could help me identify a John B. Sitting Bull. Referenced in the attached news article. There are additional news clippings etc. with him. I understand he was "adopted" into the sioux family and lived in South Dakota on a reservation for a period of time. From my understanding, he was friends with the Sioux tribe and they 'adopted' him, potentially to keep him out of a war (??). Not sure if it was official or just to throw the government off track. Either way, I am hard pressed to believe his native american identification was deception, given he had lunch with John/Louis sitting bull and other members of the tribe per this article and kept in touch with others like Blue Cloud. He is listed as a nephew in a Chief Blue Cloud obituary as well. Any sort of documentation of his time on the reservation would be helpful, or any additional information. Thank you Attachments:
