Hi,
Last week my mother found some old family history notes she wrote a long time ago. Her father (my grandfather) told her the family connections and she wrote them down. One of the notes said, "Grey Whirlwind Horse" (Wamniomni Hota) was his mother's (Matilda White Wolf Black Cloud) brother.
There are photos of Grey Whirlwind here and on the Smithsonian website.
I also found one census record that says he was the brother to Black Elk (born ~1840) and I would like to know if that's true.
I wondered if anyone knew more of Grey Whirlwind? And of the Blackcloud/White Wolf family tree?
