not the best quality print - the facial features seem to be similar to Satanta / Set'tainte' s - Will Soule's well known portraits of Satanta date from 1868 to 1872, the time span this photographer was active (he returned in 1872 to Boston) - any comments would be welcome click onto image to enlarge |

thanks Dietmar, appreciate it. In this case it must be a very early portrait, that is based on Satanta's looks/appearance - he seems to have his hair cropped on the forehead. I shall be needing to research more to try to link the image to photographer Will Soule Yes, I got him also as Satanta. |
