Progress. volume 11 regina, ASSA., N.W.T MAY. 1904 NO.9
"Sioux ben a striking looking old Indian, who we met for the first time, made quite a speech, giving many interesting reminiscences of the beginning of the missions and schools and showed an interesting relic in the form of a letter written him in 1885 on church matters by the late Dr. Robertson. It was interesting not only as another proof of how varied the late superintendent's interest and efforts, but us showing how, amid all his wanderings Sioux Ben had carefully treasured this precious piece of paper, and how proud he now is that he was so early identified with Christan work among his people."
