Charles Henry Braithwaite, Frank Lehner and J Seiling

Not sure who took what, but these are floating around the internet and the whole collection can be found here: sova.si.edu/record/NMAI.AC.147 . There are a few more than posted below. They were supposedly taken on the Buffalo Bill tours 1890 - 92 by one or more of the gentlemen above. Braithwaite was based in England and photographed the Wild West Show in Leeds in June 1891. Lehner seems to have taken numerous photos of the show in Munich, 1890 - 91 OR he was the collector of photos taken there. Seiling was the Bavarian royal court photographer. There are several misidentifications on the site. I'd also question the accuracy of the dates, because if that's Iron Tail in one of the pictures below, I'm pretty sure he didn't join Cody until 1897.

Great! I wondered about No Neck. I also wondered if the man in the bonnet at the centre of the men on horse was Short Bull, though just based on the fact the bonnet he's wearing is the same Short Bull wears in other photos (the first one in the post and the one in the Waterloo photo for example).

Yes, seems to be the same bonnet, but I cannot see Short Bull´s face, but that may be because of the blurred image.

Does anyone else feel that Kicking Bear looks either slightly mad, or else extremely dangerous in these photographs, especially in the one with Short Bull?

Incidentally, I think that's Kicking Bear in repose in the one with the two men leaning against the tent, not sure about the other one being Short Bull though.
